These days it's hard dealing with my medical issues and trying to make sure the kids have a normal life. I want to make memories with them and I don't want them to just remember that I was in bed all the time.
So I've made a promise to myself that I would continue to do all the holiday traditions that we have always done even if it means I'm in bed for the rest of the day or days.

Marissa was all about digging in the pumkins, while Roo would not get his hands dirty in any way.
Getting ready to carve the pumkins.
This Hug fest does not occur often.

These pictures are so cute!!! You look terrific (even if you don't feel it!)
When I was reading about how Ruben and Marissa acted with the pumpkin "guts" (as we call them-lol), it reminded me of what Carter did.
As I was carving pumpkins and putting the "guts" in a trash bowl, Carter was over there taking fist fulls of the "guts" and shoving them in his mouth like they were the best thing ever!
I started to tell him NO, but then remembered that pumpkin IS edible and it is probably good for him, so I just let him do it, though it grossed me out. (btw, I had pulled all the seeds out for roasting, so there was no choking hazard there. LOL)
