We went to Nashville on Monday for Marissa's cystagram. It was horrible. Jose and I had to hold her down while they catheterized her, put dye in and took x-rays. She screamed and screamed until she threw up. The good thing was that it did not take that long. We then went upstairs for her doctor's appointment. He said that the test did not show urine backing up into her kidneys. Good news, except now we don't know why she continues to have these infections. He wants to see her again in July, unless she gets another infection. We are to keep her on the medicine until then.
She had a fever last night and was up most of the night vomiting. This morning I took her to the doctor and she has a really bad ear infection. She also has a cold. The doctor told me to watch her closely. She put her on another antibiotic, which will be fine for her to take with the antibiotic she is already on. She also prescribed a medicine for her cold and cough. We go back to her pediatrician on Thursday.
As you can see, being sick does not slow this child down! She has been a handful today.
